Outside the Tattoo Studio: The Art That Keeps Me Creative
Outside the Tattoo Studio: The Art That Keeps Me Creative
Most people know me as a tattoo artist, but tattooing is only one part of how I like to create.
I’ve always enjoyed making things, experimenting with different styles, and jumping into projects simply because an idea sounds interesting. Sometimes that means digital illustration. Sometimes it’s character design, painting, customizing something, building a sculpture, or taking an idea that probably doesn’t need to exist and figuring out how to make it exist anyway.
And honestly, I think all of that makes me a better tattoo artist.
How to Protect Your Tattoos During Summer
Summer means more time outside, more sun exposure, and more stress on your skin.
While healed tattoos are durable, they’re still affected by UV exposure, heat, dehydration, and repeated irritation. Over time, those things can impact contrast, clarity, and how vibrant the tattoo appears.
Protecting your tattoos during the summer doesn’t require avoiding the outdoors. It just means taking care of the skin they live in.
